JOB DUTIES: The Wiring Manufacturing Engineer will support the Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) Wiring Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Modification IPT as part of the Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). The Wiring IPT is responsible for design and procurement of Wire Harness Assemblies (WHA), including modified and the new aircraft wiring and new AEW&C mission wiring. The Modification IPT is responsible for modification, installation, test, and delivery of the AEW&C Airborne Mission System. Significant interface is required with internal and external suppliers, Mission Systems IPTs, Aircraft Hardware IPTs, the modification factory, and foreign suppliers for aircraft modification and parts fabrication. The candidate will be responsible for WHA producibility analysis, Wiring Information and Release System (WIRS) M.E. releases, procurement, fabrication, installation, and test required to support integration of the AEWC system. The candidate will provide manufacturing inputs into WIRS to satisfy planning, procurement, and configuration control requirements. The position may require some travel for supplier surveys, interface, oversight, and factory support.
