Characterization & Test Technician
The technician will support engineering activities with
respect to ESD such as test, checkout, modification,
fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical
systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized
test equipment. Applications may include RF, digital and
/ or logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams,
written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined
plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting
functions.
Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems
and equipment.
Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy
malfunctions.
Assists in the design, construction, test and checkout
of test equipment.
Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic
equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs
oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test

The position will work in the ESD Characterization and
Test Group of the Quality organization
Requirements
The successful candidate will be expected to train on
and then have the primary responsibility for conducting
characterization tests such as ESD ( HBM, CDM, MM,
IEC-61k).
Writing skills are required as the technician will be
generating reports.
The primary responsibility will be to conduct room
temperature ESD testing and RF measurements on
semiconductor devices using RF ATE equipment.
The ESD and ATE testing requires ability to accurately
follow detailed setup instructions (verbal and written),
software and hardware selection, verification and
calibration procedures.
Prior experience with fundamental Electronics, RF
circuits, measurements and concepts is preferred
